Most MSc-GH students complete their 10 week (minimum) fieldwork during the summer after their first year, following completion of the core academic courses. Shifting the fieldwork timeline to participate in an internship or satisfy other programmatic requirements may also be acceptable but requires close communication with the Director and student’s primary supervisor. Student and his/her mentor, with guidance from the Director, must agree to the proposed timeline, and a desire to deviate from the standard program timeline should be communicated with program staff as early as possible to discuss curricular, financial, and logistical implications.
