DKU Global Health Research Center offers various student workers positions for both undergraduate and graduate students. During their studies, students can gain hands-on experience by participating in research projects, supporting daily administrative operations, or contributing to brand development initiatives. Jietong Zhou

Class of 2027 | Undergraduate Data Science major

I worked as a student photographer and video producer at the Global Health Program. Working with a talented team, I’ve enhanced my communication skills while gaining hands-on experience in creating engaging visual content for various promotional needs. The experience will be valuable for my future career.

Ziqi Liu

Class of 2025 | Master of Science in Global Health

I was a student worker at the Innovation Lab for Vaccine Delivery Research during my master’s program. My work included content translation, WeChat/website editing, and event organization. Through this role, I gained essential skills in synthesizing and communicating scientific information. Managing diverse tasks also enhanced my abilities in time management, prioritization, and multitasking. I feel fortunate to have continued working with VaxLab after graduation—participating in research projects and supporting both administrative and content dissemination work.

Haizhu Song

Class of 2026 | Undergraduate Global Health major

As a research student worker in Prof. Qian Long’s team, I enhance my skills in data cleaning and analysis using R, including descriptive analyses and cross-tabulations. I also gained research experience by designing and implementing a study from scratch and developed a deeper understanding of women’s empowerment in the maternal and child health project. This experience prepared me for a deepened engagement in global health in the future.
