Abstract:
Established in 1946, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children’s rights. UNICEF is present in more than 190 countries and territories – including in places affected by conflicts and disasters – to ensure children and adolescents survive, thrive and reach their full potential. In this seminar, you will learn about how UNICEF work with our partners to address pressing health and nutrition issues for children. You will also get to know principles, procedures, and examples of how UNICEF provides children with lifesaving services and supplies in emergencies.
