Class of 2025 Successfully Completes Thesis Defenses

DKU Global Health Program is proud to announce that 20 master candidates from the Class of 2025 have successfully defended their theses, marking the culmination of their two-year program.

From March to April, students presented their research to thesis defense committees, peers, and invited guests, demonstrating their learning and gains in conducting research design, rigorous analysis, and offering actionable policy recommendations. Their work reflects the program’s commitment to addressing pressing global health challenges.

Global Research, Local Relevance

Over the past year, the cohort conducted fieldwork in six countries—China, Cambodia, Nepal, Switzerland, Sri Lanka, and Türkiye—tackling critical issues in the field of non-communicable diseases, health system strengthening, mental health, maternal and child health, global health governance, biomedical science, and digital healthcare innovation.

Equipped for the Next Chapter

Beyond research, MSc-GH students honed practical skills in grant budgeting, stakeholder engagement, cross-cultural communication, and evidence-based problem-solving—preparing them for careers in international organizations, academia, healthcare institutions, and the private sector.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on their achievements, and we look forward to their future contributions in building healthier, more equitable societies.
