Meet the Speakers

Tiantian Li

Founder and Chairman, DXY

Tiantian Li is the founder and chairman of DXY. Established in 2000, DXY has evolved into China’s most prominent and active online community for medical professionals. It offers high-quality academic support to more than 4 million licensed Chinese physicians.He is now a member of the health expert group of the Belt and Road Initiative Action Platform of the United Nations Global Compact, a consulting member in the Digital Health Strategy for the World Health Organization/West Pacific Region Office (WHO), the Vice President of the Internet Medical Health of the China Non-Public Medical Institutions Association, and the Vice President of the m-Health of the China Information Association. He now holds guest professorships at the Harbin Medical University and the AnTai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His diverse affiliations include being the Vice President of the Zhejiang Health Services Industry Promotion Association, Vice President of the Heilongjiang Province Health Industry Association, director of the Zhejiang Merchants General Association, council member of the Zhejiang Province Private Hospital Association, and director of the Alumni Association of Harbin Medical University.

Kaizhu Huang

Professor of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Director of Digital Innovation Research Center, Duke Kunshan University

Kaizhu Huang works on learning theories and neural information processing. Before joining DKU, he was a full professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) and Associate Dean of research in School of Advanced Technology, XJTLU. He was Head, Department of EEE, XJTLU. He founded two Suzhou municipal key laboratories

He was the recipient of IEEE ICDM 2024 Highest-Impact Paper Award, and the 2011 Asia Pacific Neural Network Society Young Researcher Award. He received the best paper or book awards for over 10 times. He has published 9 books and over 280 international research papers including 140+ journal papers. He serves as associated editors/advisory board members in a number of international journals and book series. 

Huaxiong Huang

Professor of Mathematics, Duke Kunshan University

Huaxiong Huang is an applied mathematician, and his research areas are fluid mechanics, scientific computing and data analysis with applications in industry, finance, environmental science and biomedicine. His research group’s recent focus is on retinal images-based physiology informed modeling and analysis.  

He received his BSc in mathematics from Fudan University and PhD from the Institute of Applied Mathematics at the University of British Columbia. He was a recipient of the Canadian Industrial and Applied Mathematics Society-Fields Institute Industrial Mathematics Prize, and a lifetime fellow of the Fields Institute for Research in the Mathematical Sciences.

About the “This is Global Health! Symposium Series “

Launched in 2014 by the DKU Global Health Research Center, the Global Health Series Symposium invites leaders, scientists, and outstanding professionals in the global health field to share insights on the latest research progress, international and domestic development trends, and experiences in global health education and practice. The series aims to broaden global perspectives, foster knowledge exchange, inspire innovative thinking, and enhance interdisciplinary collaboration among students, faculty, and partners. Since 2020, with the generous support of Xingzheng Global Fund Management Co., Ltd. and Ningquan Asset Management, the series has been titled “This is Global Health!” Symposium Series. This event is the 208th session in the series.
