The Innovation Lab for Vaccine Delivery Research (VaxLab) at Duke Kunshan University newly published a thematic series ” Advancing the National Immunization Program in China: Making it More Effective and Sustainable” in the BMC Infectious Disease of Poverty, a top medical journal under the Springer Nature group.
From March 4 to 8, a team of seven members from the Global Health Research Center and Environment Research Center of Duke Kunshan University traveled to Manila, Philippines, seeking further partnerships with leading international organizations and the University of the Philippines.
Prof. Lijing Yan’s team found that maintaining frequent physical activity or switching from a sedentary lifestyle to an active one would benefit them with longer survival time among the most senior population (over 80 years old).
Based on data from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), a team led by Assistant Professor Chenkai Wu and Professor Lijing Yan from the Global Health Research Center at Duke Kunshan University has published a study in the Journal of the American Heart Association in which they found that genetic susceptibility and social environment interplay in the development of MI in middle-aged and older adults.
The December issue of The Lancet Regional Health-Western Pacific featured an editorial on health innovation and universal health coverage (UHC), endorsing Duke Kunshan University’s efforts in leading the discussion of this vital topic during the Global Health Symposium held in October.
A collaborative workshop sharing global health research progress was jointly organized in December 2023 by GHRC, Duke Kunshan University, and the School of Public Health, Wuhan University.
