As of 2023, the program has established cooperation and contacts with more than fifty academic and research institutes, United Nations agencies, international and nongovernmental organizations, and health-related industries in more than thirty countries across Africa, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America, and South America. Partnerships with Duke Global Health Institute, SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and Wuhan University offer opportunities for exchange of students and faculty. The Global Health Program at DKU also hosted nine research fellows from America, Bangladesh, Peru, Rusia, Hong Kong and other Chinese universities.

From March 4 to 8 2024, a team of seven members from the Global Health Research Center and Environment Research Center of Duke Kunshan University traveled to Manila, Philippines, seeking further partnerships with leading international organizations and the University of the Philippines. The delegation, led by Dr. Yunguo Liu, Co-Director of the Center for Global Health, visited the Asian Development Bank, the College of Medicine at the University of the Philippines, and the World Health Organization’s West Pacific Regional Office.

The Global Health Research Program collaborated in the launch of the Health Knowledge Camp, a project to provide more cutting-edge, professional, and reliable health information to journalists working in health-related fields. Sixty-nine journalists from sixty-four registered media organizations have been involved in the camp, also known as the Media Academy Project, since it began in September 2021. Sixty health-related articles and videos have been released in four themes: health policy, disease management, healthy lifestyles, and innovative medical technologies. Initiated by Merck (China) and supported by the International Center for Communication at Tsinghua University, the camp marks an important exploration to popularize health science and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Global Health Research Center was selected as one of three research hubs by the World Health Organization Asia Pacific Observatory (APO) on Health Systems and Policies in 2014, consisting of nine academic institutions in six countries. The research hub focused on comparative country studies on health systems development in the Asia-Pacific region. By 2019, the hub hosted six projects that covered a range of topics, including community engagement and integrated care for chronic conditions, attracting and retaining rural primary healthcare workers, the use of e-Health programs for primary service delivery and migrant health service utilization. The study countries included India, Vietnam, Laos, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, Philippines, Fiji, Singapore, and China.
