As of 2023, the program has established cooperation and contacts with more than fifty academic and research institutes, United Nations agencies, international and nongovernmental organizations, and health-related industries in more than thirty countries across Africa, Asia, Australia/Oceania, Europe, North America, and South America. Partnerships with Duke Global Health Institute, SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute and Wuhan University offer opportunities for exchange of students and faculty. The Global Health Program at DKU also hosted nine research fellows from America, Bangladesh, Peru, Rusia, Hong Kong and other Chinese universities.

Hanoi, Vietnam – Building on the success of their first retreat at Duke Kunshan University in October 2023, leaders from Duke’s tripartite global health institutes recently gathered in Hanoi for their second collaborative retreat.

On August 9, 2024, a breakthrough study led by Professor Lijing Yan from the Global Health Research Center at Duke Kunshan University, in collaboration with the Chronic Disease Center at the Chinese CDC, was published in The Lancet Regional Health—Western Pacific. The study, titled “Effect of the National Integrated Demonstration Area for the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases Programme on Behavioural Risk Factors in China: A Synthetic Difference-In-Differences Study,” represents the first national-level assessment of the effect of implementations in the demonstration areas on residents’ health behaviors.
